Joint team work makes art class

Stanthorpe Border Post - - LIFE | COMMUNITY -

BENDIGO Bank has again sponsored art classes held every Wednesday this term at the gallery.

This contribution has enabled a wide range of young people to be creative and enjoy the wonderful artistic aesthetics of the gallery.

Laurie Astill and Dean Ford were the two resident artists who ran the classes.

Their sense of fun and love of art created an atmosphere where all students were sharing and creating art.

The group was supported by Boomerang Bags who made the bodies for the papier-mache puppets and the Stanthorpe Pottery Club who ran the clay class.

The partnership between the Bendigo Bank, artists, Boomerang Bags and the Stanthorpe Pottery Club, the gallery and the students has been a catalyst for helping young people express themselves in their own unique way.
