Perfectly planned wedding
WHEN planning their dream wedding Donna Torrisi and Philip Du-Briard knew they wanted a casual but beautiful ceremony and reception with good food, great wine and entertainment. And that was exactly what they got.
The couple tied the knot in a vineyard ceremony at The Summit Estate Winery on April 14 at 3.30pm in front of 140 guests.
Donna Du-Briard (nee Torrisi), eldest daughter of Julie and Frank Torrisi, from Stanthorpe, was given away by her father.
Mrs Du-Briard had Jaclyn Slack as Maid of Honour and bridesmaids Amanda
Torrisi, Rebecca Torrisi and Tamra Vedelago by her side the whole time.
“Getting dressed with my girls and family at home, I thought it would of been a lot more chaotic however it was calm with a few happy tears being shared,” Mrs Du-Briard said.
“I was so excited to get out of the car when we arrived at the winery, and then I looked at all of the beautiful people standing there and I felt overwhelmed however full of happiness.”
Philip Du-Briard, only child of Monica Du-Briard, from Scone, had best man Stuart McFadzen at his side and was supported by grooms men Ben Campbell and Marcey Meilak.
Mr Du-Briard’s daughter Halle Du-Briard was the flower girl at the event while Zac Boucher was the page boy.
“I remember seeing my daughter Halle walk down the aisle and then I looked up and saw Donna, my future wife,” Mr Du-Briard said.
“She was absolutely beautiful and my eyes welled up with love.”
Mrs Du-Baird said she was overwhelmed with happiness seeing all of the people waiting for her at the winery.
“I just loved celebrating with all of the people who mean so much to us and becoming Mrs Du-Briard,” she said.
“The day just goes too quickly.”
The couple went on to honeymoon in Fiji and will be calling Scone, New South Wales, their home.
BACK HOME: Donna Torissi and Philip Du-Briard held their wedding in Donna’s home town.
