FILLIES AND JUNIOR COLTS: BALLANDEAN Fillies have been in every grand final since the start up of the Fillies competition in 2015.

After losing their first two appearances, they’ve now won back-to-back grand finals after a thrilling 1-0 victory over Inter Club.

The Inter girls had not lost a game all year, making the win all the more sweeter for Ballandean.

Player of the match Georgette Forbes was instrumental in the win, putting a shift in at defence, while also popping up to score the winning goal.

The Inter Junior Colts ensured their supporters went home with something to cheer about, after claiming a 2-0 win over Ballandean.

Both teams got the crowd excited with great attacking raids down the field, but the defence was always tight and shots at goal always came from a distance.

Ballandean was kept scoreless in the first half, even striker Coen Taylor who won the coveted Golden Boot for the division, was unable to find the net.

It was the attacking spirit of Inter’s Sonny Fraguos that proved the difference.

In the end, Club came out with a trophy in their hands.

Player of the grand final went to Jack Rose.

UPSET: Ballandean beat undefeated Inter in the Fillies.
