Family-friendly films rock
Movie group made for the youth
THE community asked and the film buffs provided. The Family Friendly Matinees have been launched with the first session on October 21.
The films will be free of charge to members of the Stanthorpe Little Theatre as part of their goal of inclusion and community involvement.
Matinees will be generally shown monthly on a Sunday afternoon with movies mainly rated PG, which will appeal to a wide range of people in the district.
There are plans for 2019 to include a wider range, but this will depend on the requests from members.
Cash candy and snack bar will operate.
Tickets will be only be available online two weeks before screening through a Trybooking link which will be sent to current financial members and life members.
There is a huge range of exciting titles for 2019 to involve a more mature audience and for specific interest groups and welcome your input and suggestions.
The Family -Friendly Film Matinees are a free event exclusively for Stanthorpe Little Theatre Members, limited to one seat per member, or up to four seats per family membership.
Candy Bar and Doors will open at 2.30pm and we encourage members to be seated by 2.50pm so the film can start promptly at 3pm.
There are no tickets available at the door, nor for sale at any time under the agreement we hold with the Australian Film Societies Federation.
New members to the Stanthorpe Little Theatre are always welcome to join and share the benefits.
Current memberships are valid until the end of December 2018 and are available for $20 for a single member or $40 for a family.
With four films scheduled between now and the end of the year, that’s just one good reason to join.
That makes it $2 a person per film as a family.
Our first film will be Coco a recently released 3D animated film, rated PG, to be held on Sunday October 21 at 3pm.
New members are encouraged to join.
