I READ in the Border Post on October 18 that the Perkins family needs at least 120mm of rain to plant to full production.
I was talking to a person who works on a big vegetable farm in the Ballandean area and this vegetable grower grows more than 20 million tomatoes and capsicum plants.
They don’t need 120mm of rain to plant their full production as they get their own water.
The Perkins family should take a page out of this big vegetable grower’s book and they’ll have water to plant their full production.
