Interactive experience

Stanthorpe Border Post - - NEWS -

AS MORE people get involved, Stanthorpe Little Theatre Company is playing with concepts for new productions.

Following fast in the footsteps of their annual Shakespeare production is

Spy Glass, an interactive theatre experience for the actors and the audience.

The show’s two directors, Annie Mitchell and Elise O’Brien, gave a few clues to what the show is about.

“It started off as a monologue/duologue showcase for our actors and has morphed into something even greater, more fantastic,” said Annie Mitchell. “Elise and I have developed Spy Glass, from found and original writings, in a collaborative process with our cast and crew.”

Director Elise O’Brien set the scene a bit more.

“When you arrive on the night, the stage will be an incredible bar, the Spy

Glass, with lots of people you know, characters you know – the serious ones, the funny ones, silly ones, even scary ones! They’ll all be here, drinking with you, eating with you, but we don’t want to tell you too much.”

Presented at 7pm on Saturday, December 1 and 8. ■ Tickets from Gracious Giving, Maryland St, Stanthorpe and at the door subject to availability.
