Alleged supplier charged

Stanthorpe Border Post - - NEWS -

A STANTHORPE man has been charged with multiple offences in relation to supply of marijuana.

Police executed a search warrant on the 30-year-old’s home on January 2 where they allegedly seized cash, 2g of ice, a quantity of marijuana and documents in relation to the supply of drugs.

As a result he was charged with 13 counts of supplying a dangerous drug, five counts of possession of a dangerous drug or utensil and other miscellaneous drug offences.

Stanthorpe police Acting Senior Sergeant Shane Gleeson said these charges were a result of information passed on through the community.

“Police are taking a very proactive approach in dealing with these matters,” he said. “Even people who don’t have anything to do with drugs are affected by drugs to some degree in terms of whether it impacts other people in the community or other road users.”

The man has been given a notice to appear in court but no date has been set.
