SAND IN PRIVATES PRESSING MATTER

Stirling Times - - Opinion -

THE new Scarborough beachfront development is a failure for ocean swimmers. The planning was done by a non-swimmer who neglected to cater for the swimming and sand-loving public.

After playing in the sandy surf or on the sand we need to shower and empty the sand from our bathers, but all the new showers are outside the change rooms, leaving no dignified way of getting sand out of private parts.

The old change rooms at the far extremities of the beachfront are useful, but so far away from the main swimming areas.

Will there be proper change rooms in the final stages of development near the amphitheatre where most beachgoers swim?
