NORTH Beach recorded a huge win in the lat­est round of the WA Am­a­teur Foot­ball League’s A-grade com­pe­ti­tion.

The Tigers came out fir­ing against bot­tom-placed Kala­munda and won the match 19.10 (124) to 4.6 (30) at home.

De­spite some way­ward kick­ing, Scar­bor­ough se­cured a win against Trin­ity Aquinas away, win­ning 8.15 (63) to 7.6 (48).

Scar­bor­ough sit sec­ond on the lad­der, one game be­hind lad­der lead­ers Fre­man­tle CBC and a game clear of North Beach.

North Beach take on Trin­ity Aquinas next and Scar­bor­ough will face Univer­sity at home.

In the women’s A-grade com­pe­ti­tion, it was a tough fight be­tween North Beach and West Coast at City Beach Oval.

The away team started well but when they were un­able to add to their score dur­ing the sec­ond quar­ter, West Coast kicked into gear and went into half-time four points up.

North Beach kicked three straight goals to West Coast’s 2.2, re­sult­ing in scores level 5.3 (33) when the siren sounded. Fifth-placed North Beach take on sixth-placed Bayswa­ter at home this week­end.
