DON’TS OUTWEIGH THE DOG DOOS

Stirling Times - - Opinion -

I TOTALLY agree with Frank Piper on the dog issues (‘Dog Owners in the Wrong’, Stirling Times, 19/6, Opinion).

I for one have had enough of dogs off the leash bounding around Scarborough Beach and walking around the doggy doos on the pathways.

And when you ask someone to put the dog back on a leash, all you get is abuse.

I have contacted the City of Stirling many times about this and I have just sent an email to the Mayor to get some action about dogs in non-designated exercise areas bounding around; the council has a duty of care for the public on this issue.

We regularly walk and have a coffee and now you have to put up with dogs inside cafes; this must be a health issue when a dog is in a food area or on a seat at a table being fed scraps, and worst of all cafe staff serving plates of food then fussing and handling dogs.

Do they wash their hands before going back into the kitchen and preparing more food?

We don't go back to cafes that have dogs inside.
