MAIDEN VOYAGE

WE WERE fortunate enough to be granted the opportunity to take the XY for its first proper drive, and while the team is still working on applying some finishing touches and ironing out a few bugs, we’re happy to report that the car feels great from behind the wheel. We were particularly impressed with the engine. For a 630hp, naturally aspirated small-block to exhibit such impeccable road manners and low-rpm urgency speaks volumes for the work of Bill and the team at BK Race Engines. It didn’t sound half bad, either. Ever mindful of the fact that we were driving someone else’s car, we didn’t give the XY a hard time, and it was only a short drive. But we can assure you that whoever ends up with the car parked in the garage is going to be one happy camper.
