INSIDE JOB
BACK in 2017, inmates at Junee Correctional Centre restored a WB Holden One Tonner, which was then raffled off to raise over $70,000 for charity. Not only did the inmates learn valuable new skills that will aid their employability upon release, but they were able to make a tangible difference to people in need in their community. Off the back of that project, they’ve almost finished another build – a VL Commodore fashioned after the iconic HDT VL Group A. This time the beneficiary is Country Hope, an organisation that supports families dealing with cancer, with a target of $80,000. We’ll bring you more on this meaningful project next issue.
