01 MARIO CIARROCCHI VH CHARGER SEPTEMBER 2019 THIS modern, European-influenced vision of a VH Valiant Charger is one of the most well-thought-out street machines ever built in this country. Powered by a 540ci big-block Chrysler, this Ferrariinspired Mopar represented Australia on the world stage at SEMA 2019, and was built entirely at Hills & Co Customs with jawdropping details galore. A classic Aussie muscle car with European styling and Yankee big-block power, it’s a real triple threat!

02 JASON BEHAN VG VALIANT NOVEMBER 2019 NOVEMBER 2019 saw Jason Behan’s second SM feature, but the wait from the July 2016 issue (when we featured his VG Val as a bare-metal prospect) to the finished product we profiled late last year was well worth it. This pro touring beast has had just about every inch of sheet metal massaged except for the roof, including the bumpers being moulded into the bodywork, while underneath the skin sits a 514ci big-block Chrysler.

05 DAN SZABOLICS HQ MONARO DECEMBER 2019 ONE of the most hotly anticipated cars of 2019, Daniel Szabolics’s HQ Monaro is packing a 632ci twin-turbo big-block built by Dandy Engines, so 4000hp potential in a street car is as believable as it is terrifying. It isn’t all just power and drag racing timeslips though; Daniel made sure he created a street car for the strip rather than a race car for the road. Bagging third spot outright in Daniel’s first crack at DC in 2019, this is a car that everyone stops and admires.

06 JON SANDHAM ZB FAIRLANE DECEMBER 2019 A CRASH in the hands of his brother was the trigger for a renaissance for Jon Sandham’s ZB Fairlane. Power comes from a blown 348ci Dart Windsor, while the entire car was renovated to create one seriously stout street cruiser. The Fairlane is peppered with a bunch of neat tricks, including the fuel filler hidden behind the tail-light and the Windows PC in the boot to modify the tune on the fly. Not a bad way to give your old daily driver a birthday!
