05 DAN SZABOLICS HQ MONARO DECEMBER 2019 ONE of the most hotly anticipated cars of 2019, Daniel Szabolics’s HQ Monaro is packing a 632ci twin-turbo big-block built by Dandy Engines, so 4000hp potential in a street car is as believable as it is terrifying. It isn’t all just power and drag racing timeslips though; Daniel made sure he created a street car for the strip rather than a race car for the road. Bagging third spot outright in Daniel’s first crack at DC in 2019, this is a car that everyone stops and admires.

06 JON SANDHAM ZB FAIRLANE DECEMBER 2019 A CRASH in the hands of his brother was the trigger for a renaissance for Jon Sandham’s ZB Fairlane. Power comes from a blown 348ci Dart Windsor, while the entire car was renovated to create one seriously stout street cruiser. The Fairlane is peppered with a bunch of neat tricks, including the fuel filler hidden behind the tail-light and the Windows PC in the boot to modify the tune on the fly. Not a bad way to give your old daily driver a birthday!
