Top skin tips for winter

-

Whether the whipping wind is depleting it of it’s natural oils or nasty pimples seem to be arriving, winter seems to be the dreaded season for skin. So, what can you do to keep your skin soft, dewy and hydrated through the cold, Toowoomba months? Here are some top tips.

MOISTURISE AFTER WASHING

Applying moisture to damp skin seals in that fabulous hydration that we crave so much in winter.

Find the perfect moisturiser for you and keep it close to your shower.

DRINK YOUR WATER

While hot chocolates seem much more appealing on a cool winter night, you need to keep up water — trust me, your skin will thank you for it later.

Add a little lemon to shake it up.

EXFOLIATE

While the point of exfoliating is getting rid of dead skin cells (doesn’t sound super nice), the whole process is actually so much fun!

There’s some gorgeous exfoliants available in divine, beautifully moisturising scents.

Treat yourself, your face (or your body!) to a delicious scrub of your choice and stay hydrated this winter. Hydrate from the inside out If you’re not a huge fan of drinking lots of water, try consuming food with high water content such as watermelon, apples, oranges, kiwifruit, celery, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini and carrots. These will bump up your water intake and have lots of other redeeming goodies in them as well.

CHANGE YOUR CLEANSER

Oftentimes we need to change our cleanser for different seasons.

Look into something more hydrating for winter to suit your skin type.
