WHERE: The Glennie School Hall COST: $30 includes supper or $155 for annual subscription WHAT: Hosted by the Australian Decorative and Fine Art Society (ADFAS) Toowoomba, monthly lectures from world experts on art, music, history, architecture and fashion. The 2018 lecture series begins with Dr Christopher de Hamel who will share the secrets and stories of medieval illuminated bestiaries. Other highlights for 2018 include Adrian Dickens’ presentation on The Possessions of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, David Rosier’s talk on The Dowager Empress Cixi (1835–1908), the Genius of Antonio Stradiveri by Toby Ferber and Professor Neil Sinyard’s presentation of Gustav Mahler and Death in Venice.
