Think you’ve got nothing to wear? Here’s some classic advice that will have you looking sensational, whether you’re on the catwalk or simply heading to lunch with the girls.
Brighten up: Neutrals, navies, greys and blacks all have their place in every woman’s cupboard, but why not jazz them up with some accessories that really pop. A striking red clutch, oversized earrings that catch the light or chunky, layered necklaces that draw the eye can really turn ho-hum into head-turning.
Add a scarf: Not only does a simple scarf look amazing (and keep your neck warm) – it can also zhoosh up the blandest of ensembles. Sophisticated and elegant, it can easily be hidden away in your purse or handbag to instantly be at the ready when required.
Outer this world: Why shouldn’t your outerwear be just as stylish as the rest of your wardrobe? If the weather is cooler, chances are you’ll be hiding the outfit you’re wearing underneath anyway, so make an impact with a coat that’s chic (but still warm and practical) at the same time.
Get loose: Big and baggy can work – trust us. But don’t take it too far. A giant, loose-fitting top should be teamed with something a little more tapered like thin jeans or even leggings (and it’s a great excuse to throw on your trendy sandshoes).
Double up: If you love, love, love it – then why not get a second? If you find THE fashion item straight off the rack that fits perfectly and flatteringly matches your curves, then go ahead and buy doubles. You mightn’t be so lucky again. Think “bird in the hand”.

The little black dress deserves its place as the instant “go to” for absolutely everything from a formal occasion, to a job interview, to a night on the town.
