Feast your senses at Hampton Festival
HAMPTON will come alive on Sunday, May 20, with their annual celebration of all things food and art.
While the main festival takes place in Chapman Park on the Sunday, including cooking demonstrations, live music, the art exhibition, and more, there will be even more taking place over Friday and Saturday.
Friday, May 18, will see guests gather for “Farmers La Femme” — a four-course dinner highlighting the unique qualities women bring to farming and food.
The dinner will be held at eatery Emeraude at 6.30pm.
There will be a fantastic variety of food and art workshops taking place on Saturday, May 19, such as beer and cheese matching, weaving, fermenting, and making Japanese miso.
The Hampton Art Exhibition also officially opens with a preview on the Saturday as well as winners of the USQ Artsworx Bursary, Hampton Art Exhibition Hangers, and Year 6 Student being announced.
There will also be a lovely “Taste of the Region” gourmet lunch held at Reflections at Lake Cooby.
Sunday’s main event will include live music by The Hobsons, Hailey Calvert, The Blues Excuse, and Rubatuba.
The children can also get in on the action with ‘Kids in the Kitchen’ — a fun and interactive free cooking session, held throughout the day on Sunday.
