The band’s ninth studio album DNA was released on January 25, with 12 tracks including some written by Lauv, Andy Grammer, Shawn Mendes, and Stuart Crichton.

If you’re looking for a hit of nostalgia, this album may be just the remedy you need as the band’s style has not changed — after all, why mess with a tried-and-true formula from 20 years ago?

From the album, three tracks were pre-released including Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, Chances (co-written by Shawn Mendes), and No Place. Possibly the most modern of these three tracks is

Chances, with Mendes’ style of song-writing clearly coming through alongside a current musical tone paired with the distinctive sound of Backstreet vocals.
