WHAT: Turning 60 this year is the Lionel Lindsay Gallery and Library Collection. As a precursor to the official commemorative exhibition to come, the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery is hosting some of the Lindsay Collection’s hidden gems with this show. The chosen pieces are described by the gallery to “exemplify a bold national character, exude a quietly distinctive Australian charm or, despite not being self-evident Australiana, simply deserve our attention”. The gallery is open 10am to 4pm Tuesdays through Saturdays, and 1pm to 4pm on Sundays. Call 4688 6652 for more details.
