High-school sweethearts tie the knot .................................

-

Brandon Kerr and Amber-rose Riley met at high school in music class, and it didn’t take long before a relationship blossomed. In spring last year, after seven years of dating, Brandon and Amber-rose pulled off their magical DIY wedding and tied the knot in their own back yard.

The pair had been dating a while before Amber-rose found out she was pregnant, and they had their first son.

It was at this time Brandon realised he wanted to marry Amber-rose. “When I saw how much of a wonderful mother she was to our first son, it was that moment that I knew I was going to marry her,” Brandon says.

The proposal took place at a family gathering only a fortnight off the couple’s five-year anniversary.

Amber-rose turned to tend to their three-month-old son, when she turned back Brandon was down on one knee.

“Brandon was down on one knee with the most beautiful ring I’d ever seen. He asked me if I’d be his wife,” Amber-rose said.

After crying with happy tears and a squeal of joy, Amber said, “Yes!” The big day went off without a hitch, except of course the actual marriage of Brandon and Amber-rose.

The theme of the day was simple, yet elegant.

They had organised artificial eucalyptus garlands with white roses and tier candles to be everywhere.

The yard was also covered with a canopy of fairy lights and completed the day they described as “magical”.

“Everything happened to plan, except the rose petals in the aisle which I forgot,” Brandon claimed.

“For a day we planned mostly on our own, I was very surprised at how well everyone and my beautiful wife responded on the day.”

During the reception, Brandon sang Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling In Love to Amber in front of all their guests.

“I couldn’t stop smiling and shed some tears, it was so romantic,” says Amber-rose.

For the future, the Kerr’s have a rain-checked honeymoon as they want their children Ronan and Elijah to be older and hope to buy and renovate their dream home soon.
