The Toowoomba couple’s New York City wedding

-

Scott is the most caring and loving man I have ever met and treats me like a queen every day, I couldn’t imagine my life without him and I am so thankful I can call him my husband,” says Jessica Mutch, nee Wood.

The administration assistant and electrical supervisor met at work, and six years later, on November 1, last year they ted the knot at The Ladies Pavilion, Central Park, New York City.

“Jess is a driven, devoted and compassionate person and has made me the happiest man alive. My dream is to make sure her dreams come true,” Scott adds.

“I knew as soon as she accepted my children like they were her own that she was the one.”

Scott proposed to Jess at his surprise 50th birthday celebration at their home in Toowoomba in December 2015 in front of family and friends.

“I was the one that got the biggest surprise that night,” Jess says.

With a sophisticated black and white theme throughout their small wedding, the couple had a very unique touch to their nuptials.

“We had photos taken all over New York City including Central Park, the New York Public Library, Top of the Rock and Grand Central Station,” Jess says.

The reception for the couple was held at Buddakan NYC.

“The highlight of the day was when three Melbourne women who we had met three days prior in Niagara Falls came to our wedding,” Jess says. “It was very special. “We are still good friends with them.” The couple spent six-and-a-half weeks travelling thoughout America for their honeymoon.

If Jess and Scott had to offer any advice for couples getting married, it would be this.

“Don’t forget the reason behind getting married,” the couple says.

“It’s not about the big party, it’s about the commitment and marrying the one you love.”
