Adaily skin care routine is essential for optimising skin health. There are three steps that should be included in your facial skin care routine every morning and evening: cleanser, toner and moisturise­r.

CLEANSERS

This product is used to remove dirt, sweat and bacteria that build up on the surface of the skin.

To use, begin by dampening your face with warm water. Then apply a small amount of facial cleanser to your skin. Gently massage the cleanser into your face starting at your cheeks and extending to the rest of the face using circular motions. Be sure to clean the neck, under the chin and around the ears while avoiding the mouth and eyes area. Rinse off with warm water and dry by dabbing at your face using a soft towel. Do not rub the skin harshly.

TONERS

Used after cleansers, toners help stimulate circulatio­n and help to remove dead skin cells. Toners restore the natural acidity of the skin and give it a smooth, even appearance.

Simply soak a cotton pad in the toner and sweep it gently over the surface of the face being careful to avoid the eyes.

MOISTURISE­RS

To prevent flaking and dullness, use a moisturise­r catering to your skin tone to improve hydration and create a protective layer on the surface of your skin.

To use, squeeze a small amount of facial moisturise­r onto you clean fingertips and gently massage the moisturise­r into the skin. Thick creams are used for dry skin while gentle formulas are used for sensitive skin. Ask advice from skin specialist­s who know their products when purchasing your facial moisturise­r.
