GO PINK THIS MOTHER’S DAY

Mother’s Day Classic back for another year in pink

-

OVER 18,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018, Cancer Australia estimates.

This is a sobering 13 per cent of all new cancer cases to be diagnosed this year.

While the chance of surviving breast cancer is very positive (90 per cent), it is something no person wants to go through — and we still don’t know what causes it.

So, this Mother’s Day, why not celebrate your mother while joining with other Toowoomba residents in raising funds for breast cancer research?

The Mother’s Day Classic is a fun run and walk starting at Queens Park.

This community-based event encourages the nation to come together to remember, celebrate, and honour those touched by breast cancer.

Our event in Toowoomba is in its sixth year, with a 3km walk and 5km run.

Prams and children on scooters are welcome, so why not bring the whole family? Even the family pup can come along, provided they are on a leash and muzzled due to the large amount of people around.

Entry fees are $20-$25 for adults and $10-$15 for children or concession, with booking online prior to the day receiving reduced rates.

For more details or to prepay your entry fee, visit their website mothersdayclassic.com.au
