The Voice winner Judah Kelly has never doubted his next album would be country. To Kelly, Real Good Time was more about the singer making his first true debut release. While the The Voice winner’s album took only 10 days from beginning to end, this album was recorded from November 2017 until May this year. Kelly says they took their time doing this album and gave the songs a chance to “breathe a bit more”. The album blends country ballads with touches of rock, blues and soul. Kelly was influenced by Motown and Stevie Wonder growing up as well as country music, so this influences Real Good Time as well. Real Good Time is out now through Universal Music.
