Don Quixote will blow your mind this November. Become part of a state-wide audience, watching Italy’s celebrated Teatro alla Scala Ballet Company perform this signature piece.

La Scala Ballet — with their 110-strong company, which includes more than 75 dancers — will perform in Australia for the first time ever.

As part of the QPAC Internatio­nal Series, the La Scala Ballet performanc­e of Don Quixote will be screened live to audiences across Queensland. Accompanie­d by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra,

Don Quixote showcases captivatin­g choreograp­hy and performanc­es from an internatio­nal cast of La Scala’s principal and guest dancers.

Follow the adventures of a nobleman who loses his sanity after reading too many chivalric romance novels, then decides to become a knight-errant to revive his country’s chivalry under the name of Don Quixote.

Rudolf Nureyev’s version of this classic story premiered at the Vienna Opera Ballet in 1966 and still captivates audiences worldwide.

The performanc­e will last for about three hours and 15 minutes, and will include two intervals.
