HO! HO! HO!
Christmas Wonderland is back
Since its inception by the Burstow family 16 years ago, the annual Christmas Wonderland has become somewhat of a Toowoomba tradition to many families.
From magical light displays, to the entertainment provided by local and roving groups, face painting, barbecuing and cake sales, there’s something for everyone.
The whole community is invited to experience the joy and wonder of Christmas and to support this year’s three major beneficiaries — Lifeline Darling Downs and South West Queensland, the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation, and Toowoomba Hospice.
More than 85,000 people attended the 2017 event and raised about $90,000 in support of the main beneficiaries, with a further $5,000 donated to smaller support organisations.
This was an incredible show of community spirit — and all it took, was a gold coin donation of about $1.10 per person!
Whether you celebrate Christmas for religious reasons or not, doing something fun and benefiting your fellow man in the process is what the festive season is all about, so get out there this December and celebrate in the best way possible.
Come enjoy three weeks of lights, fun, and Christmas spirit under the warm Queensland night sky, with no chance of snow interrupting the entertainment.
