FESTIVE TWILIGHT MARKETS

WHERE: Frogs Hollow in Queens Park, cnr Hume and Margaret sts, Toowoomba City
WHAT: This will be a very special twilight shopping event reflecting an inner city ‘eat street’ vibe. Do your Christmas shopping at dusk, then stay on for a relaxed dinner. Bring your picnic blanket and indulge in a smorgasbord of delicious cuisines while listening to local musicians. The designer market alley will feature quality boutique, handmade and artisan products. Entry is $2.
PEACEHAVEN CHRISTMAS CAROLS
WHEN: Saturday, December 8, from 5pm
WHERE: Peacehaven Park, 58 Kuhls Rd, Highfields
WHAT: Organised by the combined churches of Highfields, and supported by Toowoomba Regional Council, the program includes a mixture of traditional and modern carols and a visit by Santa who will be collecting your donated toys for under-privileged children in the region. The barbecue will be fired up and food and drinks will be available for purchase. Rounding off the evening will be a spectacular fireworks display. Gold coin donation greatly appreciated.
TRIPLE M MAYORAL CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT
WHEN: Sunday, December 9, 5.30pm to 8.15pm
WHERE: Frogs Hollow, Queens Park, cnr Margaret and Hume sts, Toowoomba
WHAT: For over a decade now, thousands of Toowoomba people have been attending the Carols by Candlelight event. The free event starts with pre-show entertainment from 5.30pm with carols starting at 6.30pm. Markets, food and rides open from 4pm, and the entire evening will conclude with fireworks at 8.15pm. WHEN: Tuesday, December 25, 10.30am to 3pm WHERE: St Joseph’s College, 54 James St, Toowoomba WHAT: Presented by Toowoomba Hospital Foundation, this annual event provides a Christmas for those who otherwise may not have the opportunity to celebrate this special day. Presented by the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation, this is the third year Neighbourhood Christmas will take place. Guests are via referral only.
THE CHRONICLE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS 2018 COMPETITION
WHEN: Saturday, December 1, to Monday, December 24, 6.30pm to 9.30pm daily WHERE: Various places throughout the Toowoomba region WHAT: Competition entrants will bring a dazzling display of Christmas spirit to the streets of Toowoomba. CLASSIC ROCK SHOW

This show will be star Ace Award winners for Best Vocal Group, Audio Vixen, with their live band and visual show. Tickets are $30.
AUSTRALIAN ARMY BAND — RISING SUNS, SOUNDS OF COUNTDOWN
WHEN: Thursday, December 13, 7pm to 10pm WHERE: Armitage Centre, Empire Theatre precinct, 54 Neil St, Toowoomba City WHAT: The Rising Suns will perform a 90-minute show featuring music from the era of the Australian music show Countdown. The band is a hard-hitting, dynamic ensemble consisting of the traditional rock band line up, along with a front line brass section and male and female vocalists. Known throughout Queensland as one of the finest military bands in Australia this is a unique show not to be missed.
