Viking has launched two combination river and ocean voyages for 2019, the new 22-day Grand European & Viking Fjords and the 15-day Rhine & Viking Shores & Fjords. Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth will be based in Australia for a record 101 days over the 2019-20 summer, sailing on six roundtrip cruises from Melbourne and two from Sydney with itineraries to South Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. The December 2019 arrival of the 2080-guest ship means it will spend Christmas in local waters – travellers will be able to sail from Melbourne to New Zealand over the festive break with Christmas Day spent cruising the Tasman Sea, Boxing Day in Fiordland National Park and New Year’s Eve in Auckland Harbour.
The program is scheduled to go on sale on March 20, 2018.
