Travel site Wo­tif has an­nounced Chin­chilla as win­ner of its Na­tional Big Thing com­pe­ti­tion. The Queens­land town will re­ceive an 8m-wide melon, and the lat­est ad­di­tion to the list of Aussie Big Things will be un­veiled at the 25th an­nual Melon Fest, Fe­bru­ary 14-17 (mel­on­fest.com.au).
