Art Se­ries Ho­tels has an­nounced its sec­ond Bris­bane ho­tel, open­ing in March, will be named af­ter pain­ter Vin­cent Fan­tauzzo. Carved into the cliff un­der the Story Bridge, the $100 mil­lion lux­ury ho­tel will fea­ture orig­i­nal art­works and up to 500 re­pro­duc­tions of Fan­tauzzo’s works.

The artist is known for his pho­to­re­al­ist por­traits in­clud­ing his wife, Off­spring ac­tor Asher Ked­die, Heath Ledger, Matt Mo­ran, Bran­don Wal­ters and Ju­lia Gil­lard.

“What ex­cites me most about the col­lab­o­ra­tion is this ho­tel will give all guests the chance to con­nect with art, and im­merse them­selves in a re­ally cre­ative ex­pe­ri­ence,” Fan­tauzzo says.
