Ningaloo, Western Australia
RESOLUTION: Reconnect with nature There’s no better way to connect with the creatures of the wild than to swim beside the biggest fish in the sea. Whale sharks can grow up to 12 metres long, and weigh 11 tonnes – but they’re gentle creatures, so you can swim right beside them. Each year between May and August, they congregate at Ningaloo Reef, off Exmouth on Western Australia’s west coast – one of the only places on Earth they appear regularly – and they’re easy to observe. Ningaloo Whale Sharks and Ningaloo Discovery will get you up really close. ningaloowhalesharks.com; ningaloodiscovery.com.au
