Permanent vacation

The best thing about living on the Sunshine Coast during Covid restrictions is that I feel like I’m on vacation all the time. On my doorstep are spectacular unpopulated beaches, like First Bay, down from Point Perry lookout. It’s a local secret of breathtaking beauty and colour. Red rocks meet pearl-white sand, touched by turquoise surf and surrounded by pandanus and green cliffs – nature painting a vista. Only a short stroll and you find cafes, boutiques, surf club, bowls, pubs and restaurants. And it’s only 22 minutes to Noosaville’s Gympie Terrace and the Noosa River, or 28 minutes to famous Hastings Street and the Noosa National Park. Staycationing at its best for locals and a trip worth taking for everyone else. Donna Munro
