Cinema to float your boat Burning ambition

From the people who brought us Mov’in Bed (the outrageously popular bedunder-the stars cinema) comes Mov’in Boat – a cinema in Sydney’s Cockle Bay. Choose from four options: a bed on a floating pontoon, a rowboat, BYO boat, or a spot in the VIP section with a queen bed and butler service. I know where I’ll be hanging out this summer.

Bring those day spa vibes home this year with a new range of candles from luxury resort group Aman. Available in three scents inspired by some of the group’s top spas, the jet-black mineral-based waxes have a burn time of 40 hours. It’s the Nourishing spa candle I’ve got my eye on, with bergamot and sandalwood to see me through those work-from-home days.

On a recent roadtrip I took my daughter to the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital to meet some furry creatures who had a rough 2020. The little koalas are sadly in decline because of bushfires, road accidents and disease. The good news is the hospital has partnered with Taronga Conservation Society, The Australian Museum and Sydney University to breed koalas for release in the wild.
