both the tabloid press and social media trolls. By the time Frost landed the role of Jasmine on Home And Away, the knives were well sharpened, with critics calling her casting a “stunt”.
Frost has been vocal about suffering from depression and anxiety since becoming a public figure. “When you’re going through a really challenging time – and I’ve been there a million and one times – it is so dark. You feel so alone and you think you are never going to get out of it – ever,” she says. “You can’t remember what it feels like to be happy.”
Her openness about mental health has inspired others to reach out with their own stories. From that, Believe was born.
“[My sister and I] wanted to create a platform where we could put everyone in touch with the right people – psychologists and trained people. And to hear stories from others who have achieved incredible things after they have gone through dark times,” she tells Stellar. “Because it doesn’t matter how many times people go ‘ You’re going to get through it.’ Sometimes you just need to hear a familiar story and speak to someone who understands.”
