SHORT & SWEET

Sunday Herald Sun - Stellar - - Columnist - with TOM SLINGSBY

As a world-champion sailor, do you ever get green around the gills in high seas, or does that only happen to amateurs? I wont let myself get sick on a yacht. But when I go on powerboats in the ocean? Dierent story.

When it comes to getting on the water, many of us prefer party cruises. But one wonders what it feels like to take a spill o one of your high-speed catamarans. Ive had some big falls that were pretty painful. The water is like concrete. Fortunately

no major injuries. Touch wood…

The guys who came for this years SailGP event on Sydney Harbour were described as the rock stars of the sailing world. Was there any attendant bad behaviour maybe

a few hotel room trashings on the weekend? Pre-event, its all about Pilates, green juice and hydrating techniques. But afterwards, all bets are o.

Do you have any aspirations to try a little aroundthe-world journey?

No interest in putting myself through that at this stage. But who knows what the future will bring? The Australian SailGP team competes in San Francisco on May 56; watch it on Kayo and Fox Sports 507.
