Today, of course, is Mother’s Day – an occasion that means different things to different people, ranging from the ecstatic to the bittersweet, and, for some, the heartbroken. From the insights of a blearyeyed Carrie Bickmore nursing her newborn in the lonely hours of the middle of the night, to a candid Natalie Barr revealing how she learnt not to dwell on workingmother guilt, to radio personality Bianca Dye writing about hope triumphing over grief after suffering her third miscarriage, there’s no one size fits all when it comes to motherhood. And, as cover star and mum-of-two Megan Gale points out, it pays to remember just how quickly time passes. “You are going to blink and these beautiful little kids are going to be teenagers,” she tells Stellar. Happy Mother’s Day to all, whatever your circumstances.
