BAY OF ITEA
Explore the cobblestone lanes of the quaint port of ITEA in the Gulf of Corinth, popular for its sandy beaches and vibrant bars and cafes. Local seafood and the many bakeries with sweet treats will keep you well fed – also try the olives. But the main reason tourists flock here is the DELPHI SANCTUARY, a UNESCO World Heritage Site on Mount Parnassus. Walk the Sacred Way to the Temple of Apollo, which dates back to 4th century BC. Nearby is the Delphi museum with bronzes, sculptures and offerings made to Apollo on display.
