Behind the mask: This Australian brand focuses exclusively on masks. “Everyone in our team comes from different professional backgrounds, but our obsession for skincare and masking brings us together,” explains Aceology content creator Caitlin Hodgson.

“Aceology means the ‘science of remedies or therapeutics’, making it the perfect name to describe the healing qualities our masks provide to irritated, damaged, or problematic skin, as well as the meditative time out.”

Made to model: The company works very closely with dermatologists and suppliers in Korea to determine which natural actives work the best. They debuted with a range of mix-your-own modelling masks, “a method of masking that hasn’t really been available in Australia outside of a day spa – plus they’re really fun to use”, explains Hodgson.

Treat yourself: The brand just launched the resurfacing and hydrating Overnight Lip Mask ($29, aceol, and a Firming Treatment Mask is due this month.

Up next: Hodgson shares that there are plans to “expand beyond the face and onto body masking – watch this space”.
