In­ject a burst of happy y sum­mer colour with pots of these stun­ners. . They thrive in a part­sun/part-shade spot that re­tains some mois­ture yet drains well.

Plant au­tumn ones such as ner­ines, bel­ladonna lilies, ly­coris and colchicum.

Buy in­sect-re­pelling can­dles or a bug-zap­per to take the sting out of out­door sum­mer din­ing.
