DON’T RUSH IN AND REGRET IT
Another Mercury retrograde cycle starts this week. When the planet associated with communication and transport goes backwards, as it does about four times a year, many people know not to book a holiday or buy a new phone.
During these times, it’s said we’re best off not buying anything linked to transport or communication such as cars, holidays, computers or phones; electronics should be backed up and any trips should be avoided if possible.
But Mercury retrograde isn’t bad luck. If anything, it’s linked to bad planning, leaping before you look and running the risk of having to redo, rethink and revisit.
Bear that in mind in the coming weeks and don’t rush into anything to do with communications, electronics and holidays. For example, I recently wanted to book a trip away but Mercury was retrograde, so I decided to wait and crossed my fingers the prices wouldn’t rocket.
By the end of the reverse cycle, we learnt that friends would be in a similar part of the world, so we tweaked our trip to join them. Meanwhile, a family we’d planned to stay with elsewhere on our journey announced they had to be out of town and asked if we could come a week or so later.
Since I hadn’t booked the ticket due to the Mercury retrograde, we were able to plan a much better trip!
