OK, I ad­mit I’ve been the “new diet Mon­day” type many times. And most of this has been in­spired by my week­ends of ex­cess. I wake on Mon­day from a sugar fog, re­gret­ting the burg­ers and gelatos of the week­end. So I pull out the juice bul­let, throw on the train­ers and start a week of healthy liv­ing – only to sab­o­tage it all over again on Fri­day night. If this rou­tine sounds all too fa­mil­iar, we have some ad­vice for you (see page 8). If the only time you crack a sprint is when you’re about to miss the bus, our yarn about women run­ning com­pet­i­tively in their 50s through to their 80s proves you’re never too old to run at full speed (see page 6).
