Travel plans start at expo
FOR information and inspiration for your next holiday, head to South Australia’s biggest and longestrunning travel show next weekend when the AFTA Sunday Mail Holiday Expo opens at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Friday.
The three-day expo will again show visitors the best in travel ideas along with lucrative discount deals.
With about 150 exhibitors under the one roof, it is a one-stop shop for ideas for that perfect local or overseas getaway, be it a camping trip, resort break, cruise, escorted coach tour, adventure trip, ski run, rail escape or driving holiday.
Major travel companies, airlines, international and domestic tourism commissions, resorts andmore will have experts on hand to answer questions, supply brochures and offer tips.
Specialist exhibitors also will be on hand to discuss the best in travel clothing, health advice, luggage, gadgets, cameras, quarantine information, duty-free shopping, insurance policies andmore.
Cinema presentations will run during the expo, giving a stunning insight into what could be your next holiday destination.
And, of course, the expo will give away a major holiday, just as it has done over its three decades as SA’S premier travel show.
In its successful history of providing travel advice to almost 300,000 adult visitors, the expo has handed out more than 800 tonnes of brochures and given away 37 international and numerous domestic holiday prizes.
This year, one lucky visitor will win a return trip for two to Turkey, flying Adelaide to Istanbul return with Malaysia Airlines (taxes at winner’s expense), as well as travel insurance with QBE.
The tour itself is the Globus 14-day Turkish Delight package, with a total prize value of $8000 a couple.
The Globus tour takes in highlights such as Istanbul, Bursa, Ankara, Cappadocia, Konya, Antalya, Pamukkale, Izmir and the Troy area.
To be in the running to win, see the entry form with full details in today’s Escape.
Then collect the tokens which will appear weekdays on the weather page of The Advertiser.
