Plan a top river cruise
PHIL Hoffmann Travel will answer all your questions about European river cruising – including how to get free flights to Europe if you book by April 15 – at a series of free seminars. The seminars will discuss a range of APT cruises as part of personally escorted tours from Adelaide. Each seminar has two sessions, at 2pm and 6pm, and bookings are essential. They start tomorrow at West Lakes Resort, then on Tuesday at the Arkaba, Fullarton; Wednesday at Sferas, Modbury; Thursday at Highway Hotel, Plympton; the following Monday, March 31 at Stirling Hotel; and Tuesday, April 1 at the PHT office in Victor Harbor. Winners go on to represent South Australia at a national level and this year the Australian Tourism Awards will be held in Adelaide.
South Australian Tourism Industry Council chief executive Ward Tilbrook said 2014 is the year for the state to show the rest of the nation exactly how great our tourism offering is.
“By nominating for the South Australian Tourism Awards, entrants begin a journey which gives their business structure, new opportunities for growth and recognition,” Tilbrook said.
“A win or medal certainly does enhance the appeal and reputation of a tourism business and can be seen as a valuable marketing advantage.
“It is a whole of business award, not just a customer service award, designed so entrants can tell the whole story about their business.”
Nominations close on July 4 and submissions are due by August 18. The Awards Gala Dinner will be held on Friday, November 14 at the Adelaide Convention Centre. See satourismawards.com.au
