Carousels packed with goats, boats and horse-drawn carriages are overlooked by statues of Norman knights and an armless wooden mermaid. A curlicued, pastel-coloured pipe organ belts out a tune while nearby, visitors work madly to speed up the pedal-powered bicycle carousel.
