Knife-edge vote in Ceduna

Sunday Mail - - NEWS -

VOTING went down to the wire in Ceduna where only five votes separated new mayor Perry Will from his fellow councillor and sole competitor Ken Maynard.

Mr Perry won 525 votes, a whisker ahead of Mr Maynard on 520 votes. The result was the closest contest in the state with just over 1000 voters heading to the polls in the regional centre.

Mr Will replaces long-time mayor Allan Suter who spent 12 years in the job.
