Man dead in SE crash

A MAN, 76, has died af­ter crash­ing in the South-East.

His ute is thought to have veered off Se­nior Rd, at Se­nior, about 20km north of Border­town, and was found about 11.20am yes­ter­day by an­other motorist.

The vic­tim, from Border­town, died at the scene.

Ma­jor Crash in­ves­ti­ga­tors yes­ter­day made their way to the in­ci­dent and were ex­am­in­ing the scene.

They were in­ves­ti­gat­ing whether a med­i­cal in­ci­dent may have caused the crash.

The state’s road toll now stands at 66 com­pared to 82 at the same time last year.

Yes­ter­day, The Ad­ver­tiser re­vealed that, de­spite the road toll go­ing down, the num­ber of deaths on re­gional roads so far this year was four more than for the whole of 2017 but still two be­low the an­nual 10year av­er­age.
