Food for the soil

Sunday Tasmanian - Tassie Living - - GARDENING -

It is in the nature of your grazing animal to gorge themselves on the lush green tucker in the fields at this time of the year and with that comes a lot of glorious manure. Although it is like premium fuel for the garden you have to watch out for weeds. Soak your bagged up goodness in a drum of water for about five days then pile it for composting. This will turn into weed-free food for the soil but the liquid left over is a great quick feed for your plants.
