A berry good idea

Sunday Tasmanian - Tassie Living - - Gardening -

My currants and berries are starting to colour up into delicious looking reds and while this makes my mouth water it also seems to be working on the blackbirds. Even my chickens have had a go. A piece of net and a couple of stakes can be the difference between a harvest for you and just a few well fed birds. Building a simple structure will keep the net off the plant and it means you are able to pull the netting taut, making it more effective and lessening the likelihood of other animals getting tangled up.
