SHOW RESPECT FOR ABORIGINAL CULTURE

Sunday Tasmanian - - News -

REGARDING Aboriginal rock art and Lake Malbena development, so much has been taken from Aboriginal people and the only remaining material evidence of their culture and heritage seems to be in rock art, middens and sacred places.

Access to these sites is a matter to be decided by them, no one else. If they decide not to share them with us nonAboriginals we need to respect that. If they do permit access then it seems to me the only people to be making money out of visits to their cultural sites are the Aboriginal descendants from that area.
