GIVE MEN SPACE WITH CLUBS OF THEIR OWN

Sunday Tasmanian - - Letters -

I TOTALLY agree with the letters regarding men’s clubs ( Mercury letters, December 27). Why on earth do women want to belong to men’s clubs? Men need some time out from females occasionally and just to be with men, there is nothing at all wrong with that. Men aren’t allowed to join the “esteemed” Queen Mary Club (as if they would seriously want to!) and I think it would be a sad day indeed if it came to that.

So why do women think they have the right to be members of all the men’s clubs? Give men some space for goodness sake and stop trying to prove we are as good as men – of course we are. Gender equality appears to be going too far and there are far more important issues to be concerned about.
